IS THERE A WARRANT OUT FOR YOUR ARREST?

An Arrest Warrant/Bench Warrant (issued by a judge) can be issued for any of the following reasons:

  1. failure to appear in court at arraignment on a criminal charge or for any court hearing
  2. failure to pay fines, complete court ordered alcohol or domestic violence classes
  3. failure to complete community service, Caltrans, or to surrender to serve a jail sentence

Having a warrant out for your arrest is often a terrifying experience.  The uncertainty of not knowing when police officers may come to your home or place of employment and arrest you is a constant worry, and you could be arrested and taken into custody as the result of a simple traffic stop after the warrant comes up on an officer’s computer screen.

At Lieber Williams & Labin, we have significant success in recalling and quashing bench warrants, often with little or no negative consequences or punishment for our clients.
